Sergej, thank you. I will write a letter, get it translated and send it of and quietly pray they respond.
Also I just sent off an e-mail to karlovac archives.I will let you know if the e-mail address works or if they respond? With my luck it will be in Serbian again.

Sasa told me you knew about celtic culture? He said you would possibly know my name, my sons Patrick and my nephews name Shawn in Celtic?
Hvala,
Sheila

Bummer, snail mail again then I suppose. Most people in the region dont use email yet, or fail to grasp the idea.

As for your names in Celtic, which dialect? There are a lot of them. But the names Patrick, Shawn and yours are commonly used in Ireland for that metter.

Sergej

Sergej, Which dialect? I have not a clue!! I'm still struggling to learn Serbian! I think Sasa thought you could translate my name,Patrick and Shawns into Celtic. Is Marjorie a celtic name? As soon as I get my fathers side of the family figured out. I will start on my mothers side. At least there I have more information to start with! Who says prayers aren't answered!!
Back to snail mail doesn't bother me. Its teaching me some patience.
Sve najbolje,
Sheila

Sheila

Here are some links you can check out:

http://www.crosswinds.net/~daire/names/celtirishfem.html
http://www.crosswinds.net/~daire/names/main.html

They have a forum there so you can ask them about other names that are not on the list.

Sergej

Sergej, Do you think I could write a letter in English to the archives in Montenegro? Or is it best to write in Serbian? Robert Jerin stated if I write to them or any archive, always include some money. How much do I send?
Peaceful Thoughts,
Sheila

Write them in Serbian, only send money if they ask. Otherwise your letter might never get there......

Sergej
