I am seaching for information on my grandparents, Maksim and Eva (Zvonarevic) Bartos who lived in Sremska Mitrovica. Max was born in Sremska Mitrovica on July 18, 1869 and Eva on December 27, 1877. They married in or about 1896. Maksim initially immigrated to the United States in 1902 and his wife, Eva, and their children, Joseph (my father), Michael, & Aldabert followed in 1905. I have acquired their immigration records.

The imformation that I have on Maksim is that his parent's names are John & Barbara. Apparently, John died before 1876 because my grandfather, Maksim, had an older half-brother, Anton Seberle, who also immigrated. Maksim's obituary in 1942 mentioned a brother, Ivan, and three sisters, Barbara Walter & Catherine Walter who immigrated and Mary Mikulich who remained in her home land (all are believed to be married names).

I believe Eva's mother's name is Juliana Zvonarevic (I am not positively sure since I have no direct documentation). Juliana immigrated in 1921 along with one of her daughters, Mila Jung (married name & widowed). Another daughter, Agnesa Frank and her husband, Franjo, immigrated in 1912. There were two other daughters, Helena Tot & Elcha Tot who remained in Sremska Mitrovica. I have acquired the mentioned immigration records.

I would appreciate any information on my ancesty, either specific or on how I can further my search.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Correction on my posted message. Anton Seberle was Maksim's younger half-brother, not older.

What!! The link you gave to Ancestry.com is a search result for the surname SERBIAN! Don't believe this matches anything Robert Bartosh was looking for.
