I am hoping you can help me please. I live in Illinois, in the United States of
America. My great-grandfather and two of his sisters immigrated to Chicago in the 1920's from a port in Trieste, Italy. They are originally from
Split, Dalmatia, Yugoslavia. The rest of their family stayed behind in either Italy or Yugoslavia.

I have been trying to do research on my family for years but it is difficult since I live in the US. I was wondering if perhaps you can help me. If you could find anything on my family, you would be my hero.
>
My great-great grandparents were Pasquale Carevich and Angeline Boban. The two sisters who immigrated to Chicago were Gloria Rupich and Dora Vidovic. My great-grandfather was Vladimir "Victor" Carevich. Now I have found evidence that I this family may have been nobility and could also be connected to the Karadjordevic family. My evidence includes a photograph from the 1930s taken in Zagreb of royal brothers Andrej, Petar II, and Tomislav. If you could please help me find anything, such as grave markers, birth & death records, photographs, anything at all, I would be most grateful.

You can do it yourself from USA. :) There are 34 Family History Centers in Illinois, where you can order microfims for Split as well.
You will find all the information you need on addresses and microfilms (look under Family History Library Catalog) on www.familysearch.org.
If you want someone from Croatia to do it for you, you can contact me.
Good luck!

Sincerely, Lidija Sambunjak, Croatia
