Obudovac is placed near Brcko and most people were in Chetniks during II WW, like your grandad.

Hi Segej - Still little if any progress. I have looked closely again at documents - In all cases it was registrars who wrote Culumovic with V over C's. Grandad always signed with foreward slashes.
Also Culumovics around Obudovac and much of Bosnia have been contacted. Most are intigued but none have any recollection of any Maksim in there family trees.
Can you suggest anywhere I may be able to purchase detailed maps of Bosnia from around the time of WW2 which may show possible locations of the village in the paperwork?
Andy
12 months wasted - first photos I had transaled here - never mentoin to "To my son in law" at the top of photograpth - also at bottom initials meaning Montenegro.
Sorry for the late reply, we celebrated Serbian new year here.
Bosnia didn't really change, you could use Google Maps and zoom in, the only problem is that Bosnia is not high on the priority list of Google for indexing.
What first two photo's, the first two scans I have in this topic are ID papers.
I told you before that things take time especially researching Bosnia.I remember requesting a PAF or Gedcom file?
I feel sorry you feel that we have been waisting your time. We called you at home, had people look into the Jasenovac archives for you without result. The site clearly says we assist people in doing research, we do not do it for them.
If you feel this way then you are free not to renew your membership.

Sergeij I never said You had wasted my time. Not only your team had translated for me - others too had missed the same. My search continues regardless and my membership will continue. I do not, or have ever asked for miracles and know full well that no-one should do the research for me, after all, it is my search only.
Andy
Few, you had me worried there for a moment it looked like that. Sorry
Danica is back online and I will ask her to check your query as she is in Belgrade and has some connections that might help.
Did you ever download Google Earth ? http://earth.google.com/

Sergej
Hi Sergej - Would you please take a look at attached and translate - confusion as I keep getting different info from people visiting my blog. Is it written to "my son in-law" and is the name maksimus and not maksim?
Thankyou - Andy
I thought I translated this one. Didn't I? Oh, Maksim can change depending on the case you use the name in Serbian so Maksima, Maksimu etc.

Sergej
