Hi.
My name is Tanya Hroncich. My maiden name is Deura. I'm trying to find information on my family. Here is what I know:
My grandparents, Svetko and Milka Deura were from Bosansko Grahovo. My grandfather's parents were Stevan and Milica Deura, I do not know her maiden name. Their patron saint is St. Sava. My grandmother's parents were Vladamir and Vukosava Micic. Her maiden name was Vedak. Their patron saint was St. Luke. Unfortunately, all great grandparents were killed in WWII, so I have very limited information. My family does however have reason to believe that Stevan Deura was a Chetnik. If anyone has any information that may help, I would be very grateful. Thank you.

Hi,

Well, I will first need to know what you did yourself untill now to find additional information? Did you go to the archivies and local churches to see what the registry holds?

Regards,
Sergej

Hi. Thank you for your response. I got all my information from family members. I wouldn't know where to even begin as far as archives.

Ok, are you in Serbia or Bosnia? Or are you somewhere else?

Ok thats good to know because then you would need to write the archives.
You can try contacting the archives in Bosnia at: http://www.arhivrs.org/
Please be aware that a lot of documents were destroyed during the last Balkan wars. We can't give any garantuee's on if you will find anything.

This may be also interesting to read, depending on what you need. http://www.rodoslovlje.com/novo/showarticle.php?articleID=26
