Hello,
I'm researching my family history and very interested on finding information, documents or pictures of my family in Bajmok around 1880 and 1910.
Armin (Hermann, Zvi) Ehrenreich was born about 1867, he emigrated from Lubek Germany (probably alone) around 1888. He was a school teacher and later on become a notary.
He was married to Flora in Bajmok (i do not know here maiden name and any relatives she might have) and they had a son, Josef and two doubters, Ana and Ilona.
Armin died around 1907 from some sort of an infection.
I know he is berried in the local Jewish cemetery. He had relatives in the Bajmok erie, Bela Ehrenrech who was a local farmer and merchent. i do not know if they were brotheres or cusens.
I will much appreciate any information about Arin and or Flora and their relatives.

Hello Avi,
From what I know there are some graves still preserved from the Jewish cemetery. The town was heavily hit during WWII but also prior during the WWI and the Balkan Wars.
There was a synagogue but it was destroyed in the 1940-ies.
Your best bet of getting info is from people that live there in the area, there is a synagogue in Subotica which is really close. You can find info here: http://groblje.josu.rs/
They have pictures of an Ehrenreich tombstone: http://groblje.josu.rs/sektor-5-red-16-grobno-mesto-50/
I assume you are not living in Serbia, so I would try to email the people that run that site to see what they know.
I will check some other sources I have in the mean time.
Regards,
Sergej
Hello Sergej,
Thank you very much for your prompt responce and for the information. the links to the tombstone are quit interesting, although i do not know how to tie them to Arin yet (maybe his sister? or cusin?). You were right I live in Israel and do not speak Serbian, I do Speak some basic Hngarion though (I was born in Timisoara).
Once again thamk you for all your help
My best regards
Avi
The chances of them being related is pretty substantial. I checked the name with the Jasenovac database and they are not listed. See if the synagogue answers you, if they do they might have records, or know of records.
Keep me posted, if they don't speak English š
Sergej

I've sent the synagogue in Subotica a mail per your sugestion. Hav'nt heard back form them yet...
and you are right they might not speak English at all
Someone on the RadixForum sent me an old paper clip of a Bela Ehrenreich from Bojmok, a fatmer and merchent advertizing his goods. I know they were related but I do not know if they were brothers or cousins. Now it adds up to three Ehrenriches out of a population of 200 Jews In bajmok in 1900.
Did you get any response from Subotica?
Regards,
Sergej
