Hello,

I am "a desperate french woman" :) I began to search my origins in 2007 and found nothing.

Where can I write to find something and documents about my grandfather Krstan PERIZ whose dead in BACKI SOKOLAC (SERBIA) in 19 december 1959 and my grandmother Jovanka JARCEVIC dead in 1935?  I got a precious information 2 days ago from a cousin : Krstan PERIZ's parents were PERIZ Milan & MITRIC Jovanka maybe from RAVNO (BOSNIA)

I sent a lot of emails but nobody answered me. So thank you very much just for your answer.

Regards - Milanka

Hello,

I don't know how you send emails to but this is the first post you made here AFAIK.

Bački Sokolac is a small town in Vojvodina, it has no more then 600 people. Do you speak Serbian?

Regards,
Sergej

Hello Sergej

I didn't want to say I sent emails to this forum :) I wrote different persons found on many sites ... but no answer. And than, I found your forum (I am glad).

I don't speak or write or read serbian but I tried!!! It's difficult:)

I am 47 years old and my dad is 77 - Unfortunatly, he lost memory and would to know more about his origins.

Thank you.

Info on people who died in 1953. (and 1935) is available in civil vital records - this info will include their place of birth, their date of birth, the names of the parents, occupation of the parents, last residence and living relative who provided the info. You need to contact the municipal office in Bački Sokolac to obtain that info 8 perhaps you will need to hire and authorize a researcher to do that too, and provide proof of descendancy).

BAČKI SOKOLAC is village in Vojvodina where many families of ethnic Serbs were relocated after the WWII, from Croatia and Bosnia - so that is why the info you received from a relative is probably accurate that some family is originally from Bosnia.
