Which ones you try, I tried they seem to work for me.
Oh as for the address of the archives, they are posted in the forum, just use the search function. Then download the letter template and send it away.

Regards,
Sergej

Yes, you should write to the archives in Montenegro first. They hold the info from Bijelo Polje and Berane. The Montenegrin phonebook was offline so when its online I will see what else I can find for you.

Regards,
Sergej

Hi -spoke again to my mother- still unclear about his origins although she says that he was fiercely proud of his roots. He was an active memeber of a society called Draza Michailovic Combatants Association UK, the society pledged that would return to yugoslavia if and when they were needed,

Hi - sorry if i did not answer your qustion about the association last night- we were having a family party and drink was flowing - the association does still exist although I believe it is more of a social thing nowadays and has just kept up the name rather than being focused on its original polital aims - something that I do not understand nor I am interested in - Andy

No Serbian is a simple language. You pronounce it the way it is written. BTW can you make an inquiry with that association and see what they have? Perhaps they know more.

Sergej

Thanks again - I looked up the association - the nearest branch is only about twelve miles away! When I telephoned them they are based at an orthodox church and have invited me over for service and to speak with the local Serbian community. Like you they said that Culomovic was a very unusual name and also gave me contact details for the associations headquarters in London who should hopefully retain records etc from the founding members - thanks for pointing me in this direction - Andy
