Im hoping to find any info about Jakovljevic family from Kragujevac. My father-in-law was called Milosav Jakovljevic and was born 9 July 1923 in or around Kragujevac. During WW2 he managed to escape with a brother, and an uncle i beleive was called Dragon/Dragan. Making their way through Europe, Milo was eventually de-mobbed a few years later in UK, where he married and settled down. He rarely talked about his painful experiences, but we found out this info before he passed away. Father... Relja/Rilkja Jakovljevic. Possibly a butcher. Mother... Ruzha Kostic. Siblings... Brother Miograg....Sister Desanka... Brother Zivota... Unknown Baby, boy i think. It would be lovely to know if there are any relatives, or even just to fill in the gaps in my husbands family tree. We have a few photos of Milo in some camp, not sure when or where, as i cant translate the writing, also a small yellow document that we have no idea about. Hope someone can help.
For people born after WWI ended ( 1918) the records are available in state municiapl offices and archives. You need to contact okir1793 SGS team member if you want him to help you with your research and obtaining documents and information - he lives in Kragujevac and is well acquainted with the archives there.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply and details about who i need to contact.
You also need to contact ITS - International Tracing Service archive as it sounds like he spent time in a Displaced Persons camp after the WWII ended.
The document you have and do not know what it is - please scan it and either post it here or send it to my email:
Thank you i will scan the document to your e-mail address. It may take a little while to find it as was packed away safely when moved house.
