Hello,

I am looking for informations of my grandfather Hans Janicz. He was born 01.01.1921 in Apatin, Serbia. In 1937-1938 he went to hungary to make an apprenticeship as a butcher and then go to hungary army - after war captivity he escaped to germany an then lived, marriaged and died there.

I looked in some familybooks of Apatin, but the name Janic wasnt found there.

I hope somebody could help me.

Thanks
Stefan

Hello again,

now I have recent information of my family in Apatin. My grandfather was written Gyanicz or Gyanics in Apatin and was born 31.1.1921. His parents Franz Gyanicz and Anna Petkovic married in Apatin 1918, but both come from Sonta.

Has anybody information of the birth date of Franz Gyanicz or Anna Petkovic or information about their parents?

I would be very happy if you would contact me

thanks
