Hallo,
I'm searching for a part of my family. They have lived in Petrovaradin and moved to Austria 150 years ago. I have a name and a birth date of one of my ancestors, who was born in Petrovaradin.
Josephus Kovacevic, born 1822
his wife named Barbara Shtimacz (maybe this is only the German spelling of the name)
Unfortunately, that's all.
I have absolutely no idea, where I can start my search in Serbia. Are there any church books available? And where? Maybe someone here in this forum knows how I can get some information about my family.

Church books are availible but not online. You will need to write the archives. Use the Archival Network page to find the closest archive and send them a letter.
