Nikola Tesla - his family origin is extremely well documented on both mothers and fathers side. You can find the article I wrote on that here:

Also you need to establish original spelling of the surnames, first names and exact place of origin of your ancestors before you can find and prove any supposed link between your family and his.

Thank you so much for all of the information. I've been looking at research on Nikola Tesla all week and then somehow stumbled upon your site. It is so much more detailed than anything i've found. I'm wishing my husband's grandmother was still living because she spoke fluent Serbian. I am desperate for answers because my 8 year old daughter is doing a project for school on her family tree.
After speaking with my husband's Aunt who recently visited Gospich, she gave us a little more information. The way she understands, Duka Mandic was possibly sisters with Sophia Painovich's mom. Sophia's maiden name was Bogich. (Sophia's mom is my husband's great, great grandmother.) The problem is that we don't know Sophia's mom's name yet. In order for this to be true, then Sophia's mom, married name Bogich, would have had to have had the maiden name of Mandic.
So, can you tell me all of Duka's sister's names? I saw Georgina in your research, but there are 2 other sisters. Do you know thateir names?
Thanks for your help!!!!!!
