Hey there,
My name is Nikola and looking for any information pertaining to the "Kaurin" surname, more specifically the origin of the name and the possible genealogical history behind it.
I came about this Wikipedia page that talked about Kaurin being a
.
Does this imply that Kaurin was "Turkified" from a slavic name into a non-slavic name in reponse to external events (Turkish reign)? If so, is there any way to find it's slavic precursor?
But yes, I would be interested in ANY and ALL possible information about the history and knowledge of the "Kaurin" surname in the Balkans.
Thanks,
I need a little bit more info then a surname. Where did you parents/gparents come from etc. Please read the faq topic in the general forum.
