Sergej, can you walk me through how to create a new tree? I saw that you had added Mihajlovic to the list of surnames, but I cannot, by trial and error, figure out how to create a tree here. Sorry.
I send you a PM
Regards,
Sergej
Hvala.
Hi Mira.
My name is Momir Culic and I am born in Stapar (Vojvodina, Serbia, former Yougoslavia) 1940. My father was Kosta Culic (b. Stapar 1919 - d. 1985) and my mother was Angelina Bajcev Culic (b. Stapar 1920 - d. Belgrade 2004). My paternal grandfather was Triva, Trivun, Trifun Culic (b. 1895 - d. 1979 Stapar) and grandmother was Ivanka Bogic Culic (b. 1995 - d. 1989 Stapar). Finally my paternal great-grandfather was Stefan Culic (b. Stapar 1863) and great-grandmother was Danica Jerkovic Culic. As you know, Stefan and Danica emigrated from Split, Spalato (in Italian) in Croatia with Mladen, Kojica and Leposava. Teir oldest son was not Rade but Trifun and he only remained in Stapar because he had two years old child, my father Kosta. Stefan, Danica and three children went aboard to the ship Berengaria in the port Cherbourg in France and they have landed August 14, 1921 in Ellis Island. Your grandmother Zorka probably was a sister of my grandfather Trifun and she was married in Erdut to Milorad Mihajlovic. I suppose that Stefan invited them to emigrate in November 1921. When I was a child my grandfather Trifun sometimes received donations from his brather in Detroit. Now I leave in Belgrade with my son Ivan (b. 1985) and I visite my relatives in Stapar and Sombor. I am webmaster of two family tree, Culic and Bajcev (my mother). You could see all our family and three ancestors of Stefan, if you send me your email address. Unfortunately, I am not so good in Eglish, but I hope you could understand me.
Momir.
Thank You for registering and posting this, hopefully your relative will see it. I will repost it on our facebook page as well as on ancestry.com too to make it more visible.
