Looking for where my family came from. Family name - Kresic -
My grandfather was Josef Kresic born in 1910, married his second wife Anna.
Came to the USA by way of Austria in the 1940's.
Any help would be great.

People with Kresic family name are originally from south-east Herzegovina (Bosnia and Herzegovina), more precisely from and around towns of Neum and Stolac. For more details browse Wikipedia for terms Neum and Stolac.
Many of them emigrated to USA, South America (Argentina and Chile), Australia and to West Europe after WWI and WWII for economic and political reasons.
If you need any more specifics about Kresic family name you can contact me via e-mail and I'd be glad to answer it, because my family name is also Kresic.

Please read the FAQ and Learning Center articles. The fact that you have the same surname does not mean you are related!

I do not claim that we are related, I am just saying that we have the same family name and that we might be related. I don't see the problem with that.:-(
