I am researching my husband's father's family. They were born in Weisskirchen now Bela Crkva. Name Jefta Ilkic, he married twice. Second marriage was to Katharina Kuhn (Kun). Thank you.

Hi,

Do you have some more information? E.g. date of birth/death, places and other relevant info.

Regards,
Sergej

I don't have a lot of information. My father-in-law was Franz Kuhn born 1921 in Weisskirchen. Katharina was his sister. There was a brother Karl (Karlo) who was living in Belgrade in the 1970/1980's. Another brother went to Germany. She was born 28 Jan 1913 in Weisskirchen, Banat. She died 08 Dec 1972, I think in Vrsac. I don't know when she married Jefta Ilkic but he was married before to Jelena Zivkovic and they had a daughter. They later divorced.Jelena was born in 1909 and died in Vrsac in 1990. Katharine and Jefta had two children, Zarko and Mira. Other family members appear to be Djura, Jovan and Nikola. Jovan was an Engineering Architect who was living in Pancevo. This is information from old letters. I have a couple of photos also. Thanks.

Did you have contact with the historical archives in Bela Crkva (today's Weisskirchen)

1. oktobra 40
26340 Bela Crkva

I would advice to write them first. Another one would be the phonebook in those places to see if there are surname matches. These are all small towns so the chance of finding relatives or people that know about them is substantial.

Regards,
Sergej
