Greetings thegoca and Sergej!
I am sorry that I do not either speak or read the Serb language (let alone when in Cyrillic!) but I did recognise the name ' Martinovic', in Cyrillic, which is the family I am interested in researching. I know some things about my particular branch of the family, who lived in Valjevo until after the 2nd World War, but were originally from Cetinje and Bajice until the 1890's (approx.). I would like to know more information about the family (for example, when exactly they moved to Valjevo and who their antecedents were). I would eventually like to tell the story of this to the children who are their descendents and who now live in England, to keep their (hi)story alive. As this is important to determine exactly which branch of the overall family of Martinovic this part of thefamily comes from, their saint is St John the Baptist. Any information you are able to give me would be gratefully received.
Yours faithfully and in friendship

You should contact the archives of Valjevo for more information. Martinovic is a name that is used often.
