Sergej,

I have just read this document... it makes a fascinating read. I am now more aware of a lot of issues. However how accurate and/or valid an analysis and discourse is this..? Have there been any further reviews and/or papers on the subject?

Regards

Stephan

It is a short piece of Anthropology. It was published in: Anthropology Today 9 (1): 4-9, Feb 1993 Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland

Historical research is lagging in Serbia, but I concur with most of the article. The facts are displayed properly, and it does show how things were influenced. I believe reading Konstantin Jireceks "The History of the Serbs" is also something I would recommend.

I am looking into this article to see if there were any reviews.
If I find something I will post it here.

Regards,
Sergej

Hello Sergej,

Your posting has spurred my interest considerably.... I am fortunate to have access to many electronic resouces through the University ... and I have been browsing. I have come across many published resources. Some well written .. some heavily political ... some talking on economic power shifts .. religious influences (obviously) ... and a good number of sociological and anthropological discourses. I have not read them all ... but will spend some time over the NZ holiday season reading further.

One particularly poignant article is found in the following ...

Serbian Children Talk About War and Peace.
By: Trebješanin, Zarko; Hanak, Nataša; Kopunović, Dijana.
Peace Review, Sep2000, Vol. 12 Issue 3, p369 - 374

Let me know if you have read it ... or can access it ...

All the best

Stephan

There is a list of books from the archives that I posted somewhere on the site in the members section I believe. If you can get your hands on that from where you live, that would be great.
