I'm looking for my family called Dornstadter. They lived in Novi Sad in the XX. century, and before that in Zemun (most probably in Franztal).
Just a little history: my grandfather and his father used to have a quite big coffee shop/confectionery in Novi Sad very close to the main square (Trg. Slobode), between 1910 and 1945. There's a restaurant called Athina at that place today. Maybe there's still someone, who remembers...
Anyhow, I have several baptism and marriage certificate extracts, which were needed during the WWII. The oldest one of them is from 1858, from the roman cathlic church of Zemun.
As I was already advised, I would need to search the archives in Belgrade and Zemun to find the original churchbooks, to be able to continue my tree. As I'm not serbian and don't even speak the language this is quite a mission impossible.
I would appreciate any kind of help, advice how to continue, and especially if someone would be so kind and available to do the search for me. Obviously not for free.

Zsolt
Hi,
I checked out some info for you and you can choose from these two:
Ferenc and Irena Braun
[email protected]
or
Stasa Cvetkovic
[email protected]
You will need to work out details with them since the SGS officialy doesn't mediate between parties.
