This site was just recommeded to me. I wish I had know about it long ago. My family was Serbian, but they came from Croatia. Ceralije, Podravska Slatina. 2 family members came to the US in 1912-1925. 2 stayed behind. I still have cousins over there, but of course they moved into Serbia in the 90's. We have a little contact, but I don't think they speak much English. They are Golubovich, Skrobic, and Miscevic.

Welcome :)

You can read more on researching ethnic Serbian ancestors here :

http://www.rodoslovlje.com/en/documentation/serbian-genealogy

A Guide for Researching Ethnic Serbian Ancestors from Austria - Hungary

When you have time, in order to be able to help you more , we will need to know details about your ancestros - names and dates that you know, about the family members who remained in the old country, any documents you have....

If you need help to get info from your cousins  and if there is no one who can communicate directly  in English with you, we can help you ask them about the family ancestors and then translate / forward  what they know  to you - are you still in touch with them?

Fragments of Serbian Orthodox Church in Croatia original vital records have gone online - we post research tips and info  as we go through the records here:

http://www.rodoslovlje.com/en/forum/croatia/croatia-serbian-orthodox-church-xix-century-records-available-online

and I posted a lot of info too on "Rodoslovlje" facebook page:
