I was wondering if anyone had any information on the origin of Oliveric(last name)? One of my relatives apparently traced it back to Jovan Oliver( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jovan_Oliver) but I dont know how accurate that is. As far as I know the last name is/was mostly found around Ravni Kotari specifically in Smokovic. Thanks in advance for any help.

Most likely not accurate at all. There are no direct descendants of medieval Serbian nobility.

Is the last name even Serbian in origin? Are there any online archives that you can point me to that might help?

Yes it is, but its from the Dalmatia area which has been hit hard by the last war. There are no online archives so you will have to do research the old fashioned way.
