Kia ora from Aotearoa-New Zealand Rodoslovlje family and friends,

I am searching for my stepfathers family PASTONJICKI, SIVC.

There is very little that I know of him as it was kept a secret who he was, who his family was. After 35 years all I know is his name, where he was born and the names of his mother-father and that was just through searching his papers when he came into Australia 1972. I would like to make contact with his family to gather information for his children and grandson.

Joakim PASTONJICKI b31 May 1947 Djurdjevo
His father Janko PASTONJICKI
His mother Vera SIVC
There is a possibility of a brother name unknown

Vera SIVC has a nephew called Miron SIVC. Miron daughter is Magdalena SEVO-SIVC

There are other PASTONJICKI who I have made contact with in Serbia but apparently no connection, even though the name Janko PASTONJICKI is common for that family.

Perhaps someone can assist me with my search or suggest where I can write, contact to obtain Joakim and his parents birth certificates, his parents marriage certificate, Joakims military records or anything else that I can find to unlock this mystery.I am happy to pay any costs involved, which can be discussed.

For all Rodoslovlje family, friends, members, I have used this site National Australian Archives, for my research for my Latvian/Croatia/Serbian family coming into Australia.

This site contains incoming passenger details, shipping list, photos, and details especially during war years of displayed persons sent to Australia. Free to sign up as registered user or search for free as a guest. Some data is on line to read access or go through simple steps of applying for copies. Price is very reasonable as is delivery time. I have used many years with much success.

National Australia Archives www.naa.govt.au

If unable to access directly, do a google.com search entering National Australian Archives into your search bar.

I can assist with name searches if having trouble with access...

Puno hvalas in advance!

Please search the forums for the archives in Bosnia. You can write them and see what info they have, the same if for the Serbian Orthodox Church if they were Orthodox that is.

Regards,
Sergej

Hello Dejan,

I am so excited to hear someone is looking for Jakim(Joakim) Pastonjicki/Sivc - Sasa.

I am a daughter of Magdalena Sevo/Sivc his niece. She is searching for him since she hasn't seen him since they were younger. He left to Australia in 1972 and she hasn't seen him or heard anything of him. We don't even know if he is still alive.

Magdalena, my mom, was apparently close to him since they grew up together in Djurdjevo. Growing up, I loved going there to visit my grandpa Miron Sivc and his wife Magdalena. Joakim's mom lived next door to them, so I knew her too. She was a very sweet lady.

Before I give you anymore info, let's make sure you are still interested and can help me and my mom Magdalena found out more about Joakim. She really wants to talk to him or at know that he is ok and alive somewhere

Dejan,

one more thing. I speak serbian, so if you still remember some of it we can communicate that way. My mom, Magdalena, still speaks rusyanian (not sure how to spell this) language that Joakim grew up speaking.
I am so excited to hear from you. Write me soon.
