Hi,
Could anyone help me with the origin of the Prodanovic family? Last few months, since my grandfather passed away, i'v been looking at his personal notes, war diary and some parts are related to history of our family. I knew before that his grandfather came to Serbia, to Srem region in Vojvodina. He came there from Srb, Lika region, in today's Croatia. I'v heard stories that they have been known as hajduk's (outlaws), and almost all in some sort of military service. That tradition is preserved even today. My grandfathers sister did some reaserch few years ago and found out that there is a possibility that Prodanovic family has roots in Montenegro. Problem is that all church records in Lika are destroyed by Crotian Ustasha's during WW2, so tracing the roots there is close to impossible, and to make it even worse, during WW2 Srem region in Vojvodina was under Croatian occupation also and they destroyed all church and county records in village of Vrdnik, where Prodanovic family settled.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me with tracing my roots.
Did you read the info in the Learning Center?>

Sergej
