Dear Antonio,

I attached the ring here.
I can see 3 crescents I believe in the middle. Do you happen to have a better scan of the ring? If so please attach here so I can study it better.

Regards,
Sergej

I just saw your email. Who gave this ring? And from what country? I need to know this because there are several arms with crescents out there so it would help if you can give me some more information.

Regards,
Sergej

I have several matches that fit with 3 crescents, from what country was the Duke/Count?

Sergej

Dear Mr.Sergei,
It was very kind of you to ansewer and take interest in my research.
My father gave me the ring. He inherited it from his first cousin, Nelson Grimaldi Seabra, who received it from a Count who owed him an amount of money and gave him the ring (and title) as payment. My father thinks he was form Yugoslavia, maybe.
The object you call "crescents" appear to be what we call "arminhos" in portuguese, a name for a kind of furry animals, for the seem to have legs or somethig like it.
There seems to be 5 arms, one in the center and over the other four.
Sincerely,
A P C Seabra da Veiga

Ok that would be "ermines". I will see if I can locate arms from the Yugoslavia region. It would help if you can retake the picture with a higher pixel count. You can upload larger files then this one. It will make it easier for me to identify the other arms as well. Or if you could describe all the symbols on there that would help as well.

Regards,
Sergej

I have a lot of hits with Ermines, can you give me a description of the other symbols and also what lines you see on the back?

Dear Antonio,

I will forward this image to see if we can find a match. I dont know how long it will take because there are more then 5000 arms in this region.

Regards,
Sergej

Dear Antonio,

Its easier to do it over the forum, I get a lot of emails and rather handle things over the forum so I can keep order.

Sergej
