I’m looking for information about my biological father. He and my mother separated before I was born and all I know of him comes from my mother’s recollections. His name is Alexander or Aleksander Todorovic (born 1929 in Prague). He had 3 brothers – Vlado, Branko, and Mirko. His father was Serbian and his mother ½ Czech and ½ German Jewish (possibly called Lili Carl, family were in banking). His immediate family moved to Serbia while he was young, possibly to Belgrade. As a teenager he fought with the Partisans against the German occupiers. He fled Yugoslavia during the early ‘50s due to his anti-communist sentiments. Soon after he was imprisoned, together with his brother Branko, in Hungary for political activism. He studied for a time in Prague in the mid ‘50s and returned to Belgrade in 1957. Together with my mother he went to Trieste as refuges and possibly made his way thereafter to Napoli. After this he may have spent time in France (Lyon), but returned to Belgrade around 1960/61. His brother Branko (born 1931) who had studied as a watch-maker moved to Austria and had a Greek wife in the mid-late ‘50s. Vlado was murdered by communists in 1945 and Mirko was born 1942. I think for the most part that these recollections are reliable, possibly erring in date or small detail. Any assistance with this request would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
I advice you do the following first to eliminate items of your list.
1. Check with City Hall in Prague and the Archives to see if they registered his birth records. If they did it will also name his parents info,
2. Check with the Serbian embassy in Pargue as well,
3. Todorovic is a common Serbian surname, what can do is check with the Belgrade cemetary to see if they have any info (see link page)

Sergej
Thank you for your excellent suggestions.
