Hello.
I am attempting to find historical documents and family who originated from both Yugoslavia and Austria. Last names of Cvorovic and Filipovich/Bogovich. Any help would be very much appreciated.
You have no family or records in Austria except maybe military ones - the only reason Austria is listed as country of origin is because the territory that your ancestors came from was under te Austrian rule (Austria-Hungary).
research resources :

You need to provide specific details of your ancestors like birth year, birth place, date of immigrating, and records from which we can confirm the place of origin so that we can give you advice on what is available in the archives and how to continue your research.
So: naturalization statements, ship manifests(but only if you had them verified to be the right ones, not something dug up on a blind chance that it *might* be the right one), scans of any certificates issued in the old country or by the Serbian Orthodox Church In the US - if your ancestors were ethnic Serbs.
This may seem a bit restrictive but trust me, so many people have been given research advice based on taking guesses over the years for ethnic Serbian ancestry, and in most cases the advice was ...ehm ...bad, to say the least:
