Hello!
My name is Marija Stajic, as well as another one of your readers who posted earlier. I would love to meet her!
Could you tell me more about Stajic clan, that celebrates Saint Nikola?
Thank you!
Sve najbolje,
Marija

Research, if you are a descendant of one of those person. Descendancy doesnt automatically mean clan membership though.

Regards,
Sergej

My family name is Shoukletovich. My father was born in Prizren, Serbia.
Since he left Austria-Hungary in 1915, we do not know anything about his family before that time.
We lived in New York city where he became the first Dean of the first Serbian Cathedral in America.in 1943.
I want to find out more about our family who live in Serbia.
I just joined this group so I'm not even sure if I can use this space to find information.
I have information about my family after they came to America but earlier information when they lived in Europe would be very helpful to pass on for my kin.

Ja zivim u Australiji od 1968 moj otac Gojko Jurisic je rodjen u Crnoj Bari, Macva. Hi father's name was Dragojlo Jurisic and that is as far as I can go. I believe that the patron saint of my father's family was i think St George (from the sound of the name only which I was told is Djurdjev Dan). I would like to find out some more information about my ancestors.
There is also a story about Jurisic being a derivative of Sturm and that a certain German military figure came to live in Serbia and changed his name to Jurisic. I don't know if this is true but would appreciate if it anyone has any information.
Thank you

My Grandfather's surname is Karas. His father came to america at the beginning of the 20th century to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. area.

I know my Great Grandfather's name was Yanko (John) Karas: Born: Sept 1, 1892

and his wife was Milka Semich: Born: April 15, 1893 in Perjasica, Yugoslavia.

This is the only information I have on them.
