Hi John,
Farkaždin falls under the archives of Pancevo. You can write the archives and see if they have their information stored there:
http://www.arhivpancevo.org.yu/
Istorijski arhiv u Pančevu
Srbija i Crna Gora, 26000 Pančevo, Nemanjina b.b.
tel/fax: (+381 13) 317-344; 331-240, E-mail: [email protected]
If you write them through snail mail and you dont know Serbian you can use the letter template in the members-->downloads section.
The correct spelling of the surname should be: Stojadinov
I was also wondering if it was : Stojadinovic ?

Hello Sergej;
Would like to hire a researcher to find our family. We found a Braun Ferenc on the Web. He has responded to our email, that he would do the research. Do you recommend him or does have SGS have researches for hire. Who would you recommend?
We have noticed that some people spell there name Stojan or Stoyan or Stoyanovic. But my oldest aunt who was born in Farlazdin, thinks it was spelled Stojandinov with an n. But you and the researcher there are only Stojadinov and Stojadinovic without the n???When they came to Canada the name was changed to Stoyand????
We are anxious to find out if we still have relatives either on the Stoyand side or the Pavlov side. As I mentioned before we have all the birthdates and also the year my grandparents were born. We have sent a lettter to the archives as you suggested we are waiting for there response, but still would like to hire a researcher.
Thank you for this Web site, it's very informative
John
Hello John,
Feri is a member of the SGS. As you can read in the article section we provide information on availible researchers. But we as a society are not involved in the contract you make with any researcher SGS member or not.
My initial attitude towards this is as following. If you want to do as much research yourself as possible then wait for an answer from the Archives and see how far you can get on your own. If not then hire a researcher. Serbia's archives are in a terrible state compared to our neigbors so it is a time taking enterprise. Its possible your family are from origins Slovaks that lived in Serbia-->Vojvodina. Research will make that clear.

Sergej
Will do as you advise, as you know Pancevo is online and English, a break for me, am waiting for a history book about the Stoyands in Canada, and the little they know about Vojvodina. Looked at some Slovaks sites found tons of Pavlovs they are everywhere on all sites I gave up on Stoyandinovs thanks again love the site but can't download your templates . Will have to do a little work on that, I have found through the years our parents generation may it be Slavs from any country they do not talk about old country. John
What errors do you get when you try to download the template?

Sergej
Hi Sergej;
We have reinstalled Microsoft Stanard Edition 2003 and now we can use the template.
No problem,
Thank you
John

Hi Serge, can't find Farkazdin in your articles, no entry & I can't find it in any white book or yellow book, did find it by checking chamber of commerce but no phone book
Sorry I made a mistake, data base has nothing on Farkazdin
Yea, we are still working on getting names online, about 250.000 of them that we need to put in the dbase. Fun work :-p
I will check as next week I get some more works and I will get back to you on this surname.

Sergej
Thanks, finding lots of history on Vojvodina.com. won't bother you anymore untill I get a proper surname spelling for you. John
Hi Serg, was reading molecular geneology site , came across Dupuytrens Contracture, have had this problem for about six years, now that I know what to look for will tell local Doc. to check it out.I also have seen this once before my town is made up of Slavs of all country's we are a gold mine town.,and when they immigrated to Canada they came here to work the mines.
Interesting, we should talk about it. It is also manifasted in my family. I wrote that article and am doing research into it.
I hope to get soon some more info on Farkazdin

Sergej
