I already knew our tree back to g grandad he got us to ggggrandad also he told us our Slava was St. Nickolas he is working on trying to find out if a Stojadinov family in Farkazdin is family also will get him to find our farm, when he gets back from holidays,He is having a hard time with Pavlovs, they are from opovo and the records are not as good.Altogether I am satisfied with progress even though it cost the wages of a Serbian family to live for two months, I got these cost of living facts from B92.

John,

If he charges like what 400 dollars in my opinion thats a lot. How much does he work per week? He has been busy for some time now.....

In the next board meeting I will address this, I want to see if we can create a system that allows members to do research without researchers.

Regards,
Sergej

I paid $600+ american,B92 says $300 american is average monthly salary in Serbia thats why I quoted 2months.But I am not complaining thats just cost of a good dinner party for 8 here with no booze. But it is expensive for a bit of research in my case when I already had all the leads. But he filled in the void I am happy.I think your idea is an excellent thought the cost is what is keeping a lot of people from joining SGS and doing research, not everyone is financially solvent

Yes we actually don't advice people hire researchers but since there was a demand for it we put some info on it. I agree, money is a big issue. We are working hard on getting additional resources online but we lack manpower and financial resources for that at the moment.

The membership fee however will stay put at 25 bucks, and if you read the newsletter send out recently people can get lifetime membership.

BTW, the My Rodoslov Premium for members is active. If you want to I can create an account and you can upload your current research and you can authorise Stasa for so he can put it on there straight away. Just a thought.

Sergej

Hi Sergej, when I get some social intercourse from Stasa I will discuss this,I think you old country Serbs work on a diffrent timetable than us North Americans Stasa would never survive financially at his pace, anywere in my country.

Rofl, yea I know. The pace of life is slower in Serbia and most people inside Serbia are not aware of how life is outside of Serbia.

John,

How do you mean, your login works fine since you can post here? You always need to use the login box on the left hand to login. Let me know where you get an error or email webmaster@rodoslovlje.com

I can not log in on the main page anymore I have to use the message list page log in. It is not a big deal, was just wondering why?? ever since I changed my name & password it does not work MAIN PAGE,that log in says my password wrong.I think I will hire BRaun next to do more research if he also waits for hell to freeze over I give up. Is there a web site in Banat area I tried Vojvadina .com no answer, priest in Farkazdin asks for $$$ to help reconstruct church but does not answer emails I guess I will have to come over there and find some Stojadins we were comic book hero from Serbian 30's you name a old car after us but know one knows anything about us. I notice we died by the hhundreds in camps maybe we are all dead??? Hope my ramblings are acceptable for web site. John, P. S. will renew my mebership when time comes anyway It must be difficult rebuilding a country.

John, send me an email with your login data, so your login and password send it to [email protected] Ill check your account settings.

I presume Stasa moves at the speed of a turtle, did he send you anything untill now? If you can send it to me I will upload it to your gedcom section.
As for the priest, yea they sometimes act like that and are not the shining examples I want them to be.

Patience is a virtue for Serbia. I am planning for my work to move our office to Serbia Belgrade since I am not in Serbia right now. Once I am there I agreed with Danica and the others that we will open a real office for the society but we will also be able then to do more then we do now. I dont want to blow my own horn but Ill have to see. In december there are also elections in Serbia so it depends also on how things go then.

I understand your frustration, my mother in law who lives near Belgrade got sick (stroke and heart attack) and there is absolutely no health care. So we spend 1 month there arranging things that you would arrange in 1 week in the US/EU so no problem with rambling on that. The non-politics rule we have on the forums is to keep out freaks that start a dicussion on the war and "flame" it.

Anyways, if you want I can give you ring one of these days? Let me know, I am in GMT+1 so there is a time difference.

Talk to you later ;-)

Regards,
Sergej
