Hi,

Sorry for writing in english. I'm from Spain, and I know my surname (Broncano) it's a Croatian word that means "bronze". This coincidence turns out to be significant. But I have a doubt, is there anyone in Croatia with this surname??

There are some Broncano's in Spain, Italy and many more in SouthAmerica, but there is no info about this surname ...

Thank you in advance.

Eduardo Broncano

Ola Eduardo,

Our language has a lot of words that are of Latin origin and we do use word Broncano for bronze indeed. However, I do not know of any surnames, that doesnt mean they don't excist. The best thing to do is to go to your local city hall and archive and request the records of your father, grandfather and so on to see if any of them came from this region. Then it would be worthwhile investigating it.

Regards,
Sergej
