I have just find this paper in the family documents. It looks official, but I was able to understand only the names of my great grandparents on it.

Could you please give a brief translation, what it is about.

Thank you very much!

Br,
Zsolt Foldvari

Hello Zsolt,

Its a letter of confiscation of property. That was/is not uncomon in those days. The Socialists/Communists of Tito did that to many people.

Let me know if you need more.

Regards,
Sergej

Thanks a lot Sergej!

Does it include what exactly they have confiscated?

Best Regards,
Zsolt

A bit but not detailed, it does mention the case number so you could dive into the archives and get it the details.

BTW, Dornsteter is a German name.

Sergej

Yes, I know. My family is from Alsace from the XV.-XVIII. century, and originaly from Dornstetten, Germany in the XIII.-XIV. c.

Btw., as you previously suggested, I'm in contact with Mr. Cvetkovic, who will try to make some search for me in Semlin later this summer. Thanks for the tip, and thank you once again for the translation.

Br,
Zsolt

One more thing just popped into my mind: I'm very interested to get a full copy of the church books of Franztal/Semlin. Mr. Cvetcovic will check it also in July, but maybe you know if this could be possible generally. I know it's a lot of work, but I'm willing to pay, that's not a problem. The question is whether the archive would ever allow it?

No the archives will not allow, there is a law against it. Even if you can pull it off they wont be happy with it. So what I suggest is just to get that which is related to your family and leave it with that. This is a very sensitive international issue and several law suits were already fought about this so I disadvice it.

Sergej
