I am looking for my great grandparents....
My great grandfather's name is STEVE URBAN or in some US census records, listed as URLAN . Steve Urban/Urlan lists GOLUBINCI as his hometown born September 1886.
My great grandmother's name changes with every relative that spells it, ranging from ELIZABETH STSKLO, STISKOLO to what some helpers on Ancestry.com have said is MISKOLIN. She was said to be born in 1888 by I can not find a specific date or location.
They were married prior to immigrating to the United States.
Steve/ Stipan URLAN entered the US 12 Feb 1912
Elizabeth URLAN arrived in the US 16 Aug 1912 with their daughter Treze.
Any help with either of these two families would be greatly appreciated as I have been stuck for at least 2 yrs!!
Do you have any scans from Ellis Island?
Regards,
Sergej

Hi Tom,
Nope, I need to have an account.
I found these online people for you. You could contact them as the surname is rare and local and the chance exists they are related. And usually in Serbia in those small communities everybody knows everybody.

Radix has this info on them: http://www.radixindex.com/en/surnames/surname/urlan
FYI, city hall and the arcives should have more info as well but they are not online. I am checking with out webmaster to see when the attachment feature is active again in the forums.
