Does anyone know where in Serbia does Vignovich come from? my grandparents lived in Lorain Ohio. I have heard Dalmatia, and Vojvodina. Plus who the family Slava is? and my Clan?

Hello all! I’ve done some research on my family origins. I am looking for some more info on the Vignejvic’s of Ponikve near Ogulin. My great grandfather Zare immigrated to the USA. But the oldest document I can find is his death certificate from 1919. Any help would be appreciated!

Some more details would be welcome, e.g. from where did you get the death certificate? Did you check Ellis Island?

@zarevac-3 The death certificate is from Ohio in the USA. I know that Zare had a father named Petar who lived on house number 21 in Ponikve. I believe the slava was sveti ignjatije. Yes I checked the records and no luck with ellis island.

What is his full name and BoD? I will check with Ellis Island and see if I can find something.
