Dear All
Found this website and so far am quite impressed at the effort community invests into it.
Anyway, as many of you I'm also looking for ancestry roots. Since we are/were a bit torn around family it is quite difficult to get any good info.
So, on my fathers Milan (born 1950, budimlic japra, registered birth in sanski most) side I have traced to great grand father named Iso Vojnović (hopefully this is his real name and not a nickname, he also has a brother), don't know my great grandmothers name. My grandfathers name is Miloš Vojnović (deceased in the 80's) and Grand mother Jovanka Kreća (Married Vojnović, Supposedly originally from Glina, deceased in 90's). They lived in Bosanski novi (now called Novi grad).
As I was told, this Vojnovic family has it's origins in Montenegro and were always embedded to some degree in the military.
If there is any information on any of those two sides of the family, I would appreciate any info.
Well, since there is a mandatory draft for 18+ male youth most families have something with the military. Which sources did you use thus far to track the family tree?
I know that you can have a good chance to find info at the local churches. Did you try any of this?
Regards,
Sergej
