The name finds its roots in the 11th century, its a Romanised name. This surname can be found in the archives as early as 1772 all in the Backa area.

there were/are Drakulic families in the Lika region of Crotia around the town of Otocac. I can confirm the villages in a few weeks time. There is a Drakulic family in Leicester, UK who come from this area.
