My family moved to the States from the Kingdom in the late 1880s. I have been attempting to locate my great-grandfather's birth certificate from around 1885 so I can apply for citizenship in Serbia. We are from Melenci which is in Zrenjanin's authority but I don't know any office/phone number to contact to see if his birth certificate is still on file there. His name was Stephen Esakov (Isakov). My family who stayed in the area has no records unfortunately. If anyone could even just give me a number or website to look at so I can verify this document still exists, that would be great!
